Celá stěna je pro mě zhmotněním momentu prolnutí historie a současnosti. Staví nás do situace, kdy jsme nuceni konfrontovat vlastní minulost a dát se do fyzického i mentálního pohybu – vpřed.
Vnímám ji jako agresivní překážku, která vyžaduje naši vůli ji překročit.
Hranici, kterou jsme postavili, ale která nás zároveň svazuje.
Je to blok, se kterým se setkáváme – ať už jako jednotlivci, nebo jako společnost

Překážka složená z odlitků úmrlčích prken. Místa posledního odpočinku lidí, jejiž jméno se již vsáklo do dřeva.
The entire wall is, for me, the embodiment of a moment in which history and the present intertwine.

An obstacle composed of casts of death boards – in German, Totenbretter – wooden planks traditionally found in the Šumava region and the adjoining Bavarian forests.
These memorial boards, often carved or painted with the names and dates of the deceased, marked the spot where the body once rested before burial. Here, the names have already seeped into the grain of the wood, merging with it, becoming inseparable from its material memory.
